Cassandra Stanford has been a performing musician from a young age. With an absolute passion for being on stage and entertaining, she can talk up an audience with ease. Cassandra has performed in various bands and ensembles including the Victorian Girls Choir, her secondary college orchestra, jazz band, rock band and choir, the Australian Youth Band, Melba Big Band, Boroondara Brass Band, university big band, orchestra, wind symphony and brass ensemble, popular performing and recording ensembles and many more.
Cassandra is a singer/song-writer alongside her passions in performing as a brass player. Her project in 2016-17 named Plan C consisted of original songs that were comedic and thought provoking, femenist and truth telling. With her friend and collaborator Juliet Steel on violin and vocals, and Cassandra on ukulele and vocals, the duo performed at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2017, Farouk’s Olive, the Dandenong Ranges Ukulele Festival (DRUKE), The Basin Concerts in the Park sound series, Monash University events and more. Their debut album, ‘Bonjour, Hello’ can be found on many streaming platforms.
Cassandra is available to be booked for performances and gigs covering her own music and projects or cover music and themed events, on trumpet or vocals/guitar/piano.
